Our Weekend Recap

Super Bowl weekend was pretty uneventful at our house. We didn't have any big plans for the big game. I went grocery shopping at Super Target on Saturday. It was nice because Brandon and Faith had a lunch of free samples:) They had enough samples to equal the amount they would normally eat for lunch! So, all I had to do was bring them home for nap time.

Silly boy!

The couch and cushions/pillows really do provide hours of entertainment!

When we are not upstairs playing on the couch, Brandon and Faith play in their very messy play room:)

We had some friends over Saturday night. It was nice to see Scott hanging out with his buddies for a change, we usually have friends or family of mine over. (Scott is not even in the picture - he is waiting to play the winner!)

We all played wii bowling. I didn't know we could have 4 players - I had fun! I haven't played in a long time!

We also went to an all you can eat breakfast buffet on Sunday. Not good for my diet. Diet? What diet? I didn't diet ALL weekend long! I want to really do well this week. We shall see how it goes!

Brandon ate A LOT at breakfast. He cleaned his plate! Faith was not into eating much yesterday - at any meal. She seems ok though. Zach doesn't have any problem eating - he just doesn't gain any weight!

We also did a little bit of car shopping. We are thinking about trading in my car and Scott's car both for a newer model of something. This may or may not happen. Who knows! At any rate, I WILL be either trading in my car or selling it on Craig's list. Want it? 2000 Mazda Protege DX. It has over 100,000 miles on it but it still runs GREAT:) I think we are going to sell it for $2000 OBO. I will leave all the car stuff up to Scott.

I just want to close this post with one last thing. It was Super Bowl Sunday - I was alone in the kitchen cooking dinner (the game was on in the Family room) and the rest of my family was downstairs in the basement. I was reminiscing about last year on Super Bowl Sunday when we were watching the game in front of a cozy fire in a nice 4 star resort. We had just purchased a time share and were so excited about all of our endless vacation opportunities in the future! Then I looked around and realized this is our 1st year in our new home! Last year I was so happy in that sweet resort, but who knew we would be in a new home the next year! WOW. I was smiling and feeling SO BLESSED as I cooked my family dinner. Thank you GOD!
Oh - and GO STEELERS! WOO HOO!
