A Special Nomination

Zach was one of 6 students from his school that was nominated for the National Young Scholars Program at the National Center for Early Academic Excellence! We received a packet of information in the mail yesterday inviting Zach to attend the 2009 summer program. (a week long) You have to be nominated in order to attend. One of Zach's teacher recognized Zach as being "a special student who demonstrates exceptional maturity, scholastic merit and leadership ability even at his young age". We are extremely proud of Zach for being nominated and for doing so well in school. Sadly, this comes at a bad time for us. Tuition is VERY expensive and is due in December. There is no way we can afford it this time. We want Zach to understand what an achievement it is to just be invited to the program. We told him to keep it up... work really hard and hopefully, he will get nominated next year when we will be in a better position to send him.

We are so proud of you, Zachary!

Wow, CONGRATS to Zach, that is awesome! I'm sure you are so proud. Would the school be willing to do any fundraising efforts to help him be able to go?
