Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I stayed busy as usual. Saturday was spent grocery shopping and cleaning/doing laundry. I had a great master plan of saving $$$ by going to 3 separate stores to get the best value. So I had 3 separate lists. I ended up at Bloom where I did the most of my shopping. It was triple coupon weekend!! BUT there was a catch. (unlike at Harris Teeter) Only 5 coupons per transaction. So, I made 3 separate transactions and paid separately. Then I used the rest of my coupons ($1 and above) for the rest. I have to say - I got A LOT for my $$$! But I didn't really save $$ this time. However, looking at the big picture, I think my food will last longer than 2 weeks as I started at Costco and bought a lot of meat for my main meals. Whew. That must have been a boring read. Sunday I went to Church - very powerful sermon! Then in the AN I went to my 1st week of my Bible study group. It was GREAT! It was a great group of people and I felt comfortable. Since I was not the only newbie there, we started out by introducing ourselves and telling our hobbies - I just had to say blogging! I blog more than I scrapbook or anything else. Needless to say, I was the only blogger. :) Perhaps I will share my blog with the rest of the group if they are interested.
The rest of Sunday was (or IS rather) spent finishing up cleaning and laundry. FUN! Here are some pics from today:

Have you seen these Mickey shaped pizzas?!?!?! They are $1 each! Perfect for kids!

Sarah and her daughter Jocelyn were kind enough to give us a toybox full of toys! GREAT toys like Elmo and Tigger and others - and Faith decided her FAVORITE thing in the toy box is this Dora purse. She has been carrying this purse every where she goes! And she carries it over her shoulder most of the time. Man, is she my daughter or what??

THANK YOU SARAH AND JOCELYN!

Faith has another new toy - a little puppy that barks when you squeeze him. Altho $$ is tight - I saw this little dog at the grocery store and just knew Faith would love him. She seems to really like dogs and tries to bark at all the neighborhood dogs! (and squirrels too - she thinks they are dogs)

Now Brandon is still happy as a clam playing with bowls, plates, and cups. He also loves to play with a broom and dust pan. Is he going to be domesticated?

Well, the night is not over. I could go to bed OR do something fun like play in my scrapbook room or watch a movie down stairs. 9 times out of 10 - sleep wins me over. I am going to do my best to try and have some ME time!

Love the recap. How cute is faith with that purse? She'll be a girly-girl I bet. Katie has no interest in purses yet and she is 17! I think I started carrying a purse at age 12! No wonder my back hurts!
Oooh... I found a cute purse this weekend at a store called Rugged Wearhouse. It was $2.50! Turns out this store is owned by and a franchise of Gabriel Bros! Who knew?
