Ugh! I started getting a sore throat on Sun evening and just like I knew would happen, when I woke up Monday morning it was an awful sore throat! Accompanied by a headache and 0 energy. Great. I would have loved to spend the day in bed, but that is not an option with the kids. (although I thought of begging hubby to call in sick to help me:)) So, I stayed on the couch most of the day available for any help or emergency juice/snacks/potty requests. I tried to stay awake, I did. I lost the fight with Mr. Sandman and apparently the kids followed my lead. We were all so sound asleep that we didn't hear Daddy snap these pictures!

It's so hard when mommy isn't well. I remember doing a very similar thing when Cristina was about 9 months old and I had the flu. I had no choice but sit her on our bed with toys, Cheerios, toys, more Cheerios, sippy cup and had the TV on. I only got up to change her diaper.
It was miserable and I slept most of the day but I'm so grateful that she never got sick.
Mommies, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Hope you're feeling better.
