My Husband Rocks - Inspiration #7

Prompt/Theme for Friday, January 23, 2009

Tell us about a time that your spouse went out of his way to serve you, and love you sacrificially.

This is a good opportunity to post about this past Monday:) Sometimes, women are moody and emotional... and it truly is BEYOND our control!! I suffer from terrible mood swings and emotional break downs.... oh, about once a month or so. :) In addition to feeling physically uncomfortable, my mood swings make for some difficult days! Something very small and unimportant can make me burn with anger! Or something just slightly sad can make me fall into a very depressed state. Not to worry, it only lasts a day or two. Well, this past Monday was one of those days for me! I was happy my husband was off for the Holiday. Yet, I gave him a hard time about every little thing. I complained a lot that morning while I finished up my weekend chores. I finally calmed down and became the "nice" wife. (oh yes - I have multiple personalities on these "special" days) I told my husband that I was looking forward to the twins' nap time so that I could take a hot bubble bath and read my book. (I am almost finished with Twilight) I started the bath, made sure the water was hot, poured in the bubble bath and walked away to get prepared with my book and some ice water. When I actually got into the bath, it was COOL, not hot! While in the water, I opened the drain to let some water out and put on the hot water... but it was COLD!! Not warm one bit. So, I let out my "cool" water just to let in some COLD water! The water did not warm up. I had to get out. No hot bath, no book, just pure frustration. I was angry and I didn't feel well. I was no longer the "nice" wife. Instead of giving me some much deserved attitude back, my loving husband turned up the hot water on our hot water heater and went to the store to buy me some medicine:) He told me to wait an hour for the hot water to return - and he was right:)
Even though I was a grouchy, nagging, unpleasant person to be with that day, my husband still showed me love and patience as he sacrificed some of his time off to go into the bitter cold to buy me some medicine. ♥
