Our Busy Friday

Yesterday was a busy day for us! Mandy came over with her son Ethan to visit AND to bring little swimmers diapers! (Thanks Mandy!) Ethan is such a cutie:)

Brandon and Faith are pictured here using their new dippers from Angel and family. They got the hang of it! Basically, I let them hold on to one and I continued to spoon feed, but if they were impatient (as they always are) they could use their dipper to dip it into the bowl and eat some cereal themselves:) A little messy but worth it to keep them preoccupied in between spoonfuls!

Scott came home early but had to rush around to leave for the weekend to go on a ski trip with his buddies! I was sad. And nervous. Nervous because I will worry about my husband and also nervouse about being home alone with the kids all weekend. But really, it's not THAT different from our day to day routine. I am alone with them all day every day until 8 pm ... the babies go to bed at 9... so really, what's different? I am alone with them for another hour before they go to bed. Not a big deal. However, tonight will be tricky. Scott come home from work on a Sat at 5:30. I go to bed at 6-7 because I have to work later. So tonight I will need to stay up and do the bath/bottle/bedtime routine and I won't get to sleep until 9ish and will have to get up at midnight to work. Scott should be home from his trip tomorrow afternoon some time.

I had friends over for dinner last night, it was fun. We ate super LATE tho! Not til after 9 when the babies were in bed. I found I had a hard time trying to prepare a meal and also do the baths and stuff. We had pork chops in mushroom gravy, german pasta and veggies. Hmmm, I think I already mentioned this in a previous post. LOL I ate 1/2 a pork chop, 1/2 cup of the pasta and lots of veggies. OH and my friend James, who is an EXCELLENT cook, whipped up some shrimp scampi in just minutes! I don't know how many of those I ate:) After dinner, James left and Kristin, myself and Zach watched 'The Game Plan' with the Rock. LOVE that movie!! K went home after and Zach and I went to bed after midnight. I let him sleep with me, so that's always a special treat. (kids love to sleep in their parents bed! I don't know when they outgrow that)

Today we are going to Zach's basketball game. Maybe afterwards we can go to toys r us to look for baby sleds. You know, I think I will be kept so busy that I won't notice my husband being gone so much!

Thanks Peg!!! I hadn't made the pork chops since before I went to Korea. When Katie had your blog open yesterday and I read it, I wanted them so bad. Katie doesn't like them so she had regular fried pork chops but I put 5 in the golden mushroom soup and had french fries too. I had 3 1/2 chops! They were so good!
Brandon and Faith are so adorable!! You are an excellent mom! I hope you were able to get some sleep! I can't wait to see you all in a couple months!
I love you!!!! Kevin
