Tis' the Season!

Here we are, in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season! How did we get here so fast? I was feeling a little anxious as many people I have talked to are finished or nearly finished with their shopping, and I had not started. Well, this is how I was feeling on and the day after Thanksgiving. Then I had Zachary following me around the house on Saturday begging to decorate for Christmas. I told him the first step was to clean. So, he cleaned!! He did a great job too! He helped me carry everything up from storage, and then he put together the tree all by himself. Wow! I told him this is his new job every Christmas. I hate putting together the tree with all those branches. I also don't want to get a real tree and have pine needles all over the place. Brandon and Faith would surely eat some pine needles. I put the lights on the tree, and Zach finished decorating it. Very little work on my end this year! So, that was one accomplishment out of the way. Saturday night at work I decided to do some online shopping, and with just a few clicks of the mouse, I pretty much finished shopping for my immediate family! That is a huge weight off my shoulders. Last but not least, today we took the kids to have their Christmas pictures done. I am very pleased with the results! I ordered portrait Christmas cards. The greatest thing about portrait cards is all I will have to do is address envelopes and slap a stamp on them! Sorry if I sound impersonal, but any where I can save time is a blessing right now. In one weekend I went from being stressed to feeling like I got a lot accomplished! Whew. That is a wonderful feeling. Now I can relax, enjoy some Chrsitmas music and just take in all the joy and spirit of the Holiday Season!

Sounds like you're all ready for Christmas! I have been feeling stressed about it too, but then I had to remind myself it's not even December yet (although it will be here soon :). Love your tree and the babies in their santa hats - too cute!
