Heaven - Yes

Church was so amazing today. It is amazing every week, but sometimes the service really speaks to me. This week was 'Heaven - Yes' and next week is 'Hell - No'. So of course today's service was all about Heaven. First, the band sang some songs relating to the topic of Heaven. One of the lead singers told us something quite sad about himself. He was a widow at age 22. He sang a song for us that he sang at his wife's funeral. It was incredible. I came home and searched and searched for this song. I wanted to post it on my blog! I can't find it. I wonder if he wrote it? I will have to just ask him! After that song, he sang Eric Clapton's 'Tears in Heaven'. (I am sure you all know this song was written following the death of Eric's 4 year old son, Conor)

The sermon about Heaven really comforted me. Having experienced several deaths in my family in just the past 3 years, I have had mixed up feelings and questions going through my mind. I have felt nervous about death. Today, I felt comfort and happy for my loved ones to be in such a glorious place!
Today's Minister recommended the book 'Heaven' by Randy Alcorn. It sounds as though this book will make me feel even better. I think my parents will enjoy it too. So this is my next purchase! I may buy a used copy from Amazon.
I may blog about next week's service too. I am looking forward to it!

Let me know how the book is if you read it (in all your spare time, lol). Your church sounds so nice! The messages are so important and lately it seems ours are a little dry. Suppose you can't hit gold every week. lol
