Baby Dedication

I just can't quite find the words to describe Church today. I believe God gave me a gift! I was so moved. We all went to Church as a family today for the 1st time. Usually, it is only Zach and myself. In addition to us, my parents came and Scott's parents came. Today was a baby dedication ceremony. The dedication was at the end of service. The message today was of course about Mothers in honor of Mother's Day. It brought me to tears several time. For the baby dedication, put the baby's picture on the big screen and called up the parents' to the stage. So not only did Scott agree to go to Church, but he also had to stand up on stage with me in front of everyone! While we were on stage with Brandon and Faith and the ministers were speaking of the importance of raising your children to know God, I was gleaming. I was so happy. It was the best moment! The lead minister just happened to stand between me and another Mom to say a prayer, and he put his hand on Brandon many times. I felt that Brandon was so blessed and that God is definitely with us as we go through these upcoming tests for Brandon. During the prayer, however, Brandon started to fuss.. LOUD. I was a little embarrassed but also concerned that the Church would not be able to hear the prayer. At the end, the minister made a joke about how "this little guy said PRAYER OVER!" and everyone laughed.
They gave us little gifts with personalized cards and book marks that I will cherish forever! The gifts were little bibles. I was happy to see that they wrote each of their names inside and that it was from New Life Christian Church.

And by the way.. Scott said he liked my Church:)

I am so happy you had a good time at the dedication. It sounds like your church is similar to our church with the way the dedication is done. I sure think Brandon is being cared for by God as well. Congrats on your new church!
