The Pope in D.C.

I am sure ALL of you are aware, Pope Benedict XVI is visiting Washington D.C. this week. My Company Headquarters is located on E Street in D.C., close by his route through the streets. Since I work from home at night, I am missing all the excitement. (and the traffic) However, my good friend Kristin is known to be where the action is at! She is really into sight seeing and attending special and exciting events. (Salem's Lot on Halloween, the lighting of the National Tree, Time Square NYC on New Years Eve... just to name a few) So it was no surprise to me to hear that she hopped over to look for the Pope on her lunch break and take his picture! She was kind enough to let me post the photo on my blog. Although I am not Catholic, I respect the Pope and his aura of spirituality. I can only imagine how the 45 thousand people feel right now as they attend mass at the Nationals Baseball Stadium. Must be an incredible experience. Thank you, Kristin, for a sneak peak at the Holy man and the fascinating popemobile:)

Wow, that is really cool. What a strange car set-up, I guess it keeps him safe. I love it - the popemobile! Your friend got pretty close to him!

thats a neat picture to have - I doubt many have the opportunity to walk out of work and get a snap of the pope!
